Zoom7000 Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Plans have changed, and I will be going - though I'll be in a mask and stinking like i've fallen into a vat at a hand gel company on the Wednesday. Anyone got any "must see" stands? I've already got my list going Poly Wacom Wonde Lightspeed Systems Nutkase LocknCharge Lapsafe Bromcom Canva EdPuzzle MAXcases The major hardware manufacturers (HP, Lenovo, Acer, Asus) Any recommendations for any stand that might catch the eye this year? Would be great to meet up with you at some point on Wednesday!
ICTDirect_Dave Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Would be great to meet up with you at some point on Wednesday! SB41 - ICT Direct and Edugeek! Great place to meet! Come take a selfie with my cardboard cut out 3
paulkerton Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 Would be great to meet up with you at some point on Wednesday! I should be in the Platinum Suites around 1 - 2pm as I'm meeting with Google and then catching the end of their roadmap session hopefully!
Kingstech Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 I am! My main role will be to entice everyone that walks past the stand with socks and all the other freebies were giving out. I will be there on the Friday. Hoping to get some socks, mine have started to get holes in them.

Any chance you can fling a few pairs of socks to the other side of London? I'm not coming this year and comfy socks are always appreciated

PaddyNewman Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 I am potentially making an appearance on Friday for all the LGfL (and non LGfL!) schools to ask questions to a techie, on the AdEPT Education stand... I intend to mingle with as many as I can so please do come say hi I welcome any and all, especially if you want to tell me where we can do better 4
Rob_D Posted March 17, 2022 Author Posted March 17, 2022 Have they published a show floor map? The floorplan link on the website seems to want me to sign up as an exhibitor or something.

NorrthDown2 Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 Have they published a show floor map? The floorplan link on the website seems to want me to sign up as an exhibitor or something. I found a rather vague map by searching Google Images - 'plan BETT 2022' and used the product trail maps. Printed north hall on one side of A4 and south and the other. I had to then resort to using the interactive map on my phone to find stalls I'm interested in (zooming in greatly to read names of companies who have a small footprint) and write them in on the printed map. Usually someone leaks a decent floorpan before the event to help plan a route - I've always found a page with stalls marked beforehand is more efficient than attempting to use the app. Can anyone tell me how a company can be an exhibitor according to the app but doesn't have a stall - how does that work? 1
tg12 Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 I'm game for this! Tattoo artist waiting on the stand for @Garacesh to arrive, also please make sure there's a live stream of it 2

Popular Post Garacesh Posted March 18, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 18, 2022 (edited) You need to bring a fluffy swan! Way ahead of you. This little beauty will be arriving Monday. I will, of course, be bringing my legitimate badge for entry and for providing to people I do actually want to hear from, but for the drive-by scanning they'll get: The barcode is sufficiently scrambled and rendered unreadable, because I couldn't be bothered figuring out how to muck with that too much, and the QR is the classic Edited March 18, 2022 by Garacesh 8
Stevecee Posted March 18, 2022 Posted March 18, 2022 I'll be there for 3 days - never been allowed out for that long before:-) Stevecee 1
garethEds Posted March 18, 2022 Posted March 18, 2022 I'll be there on the Friday. First time in over 10 years (when did it move from Olympia?). Got me a hotel booked on Thursday evening. Driving up instead of train. Gareth 2
Guest Guest Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 I'm not in Enterprise/Education IT anymore but live on the same road as the ExCel Centre. Never been to BETT before, but wondering if any of you thought there'd still be merits to me visiting the Expo (or if most of the stands are very strictly education-orientated)?

Goven that it’s free to go, what have you got to lose by having a nose round?
Guest Guest Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 Goven that it’s free to go, what have you got to lose by having a nose round? Fair point! Looks like it'll be worth me having a wander down. Fingers crossed there may be the odd freebee too?!
