Hi,

Hope i've put this in the right part of the forum. Wasn't sure if it should go under network or virtual machines.

I'm in the process of reloading a server and had to move the Virtual servers to another host temporarily. One of the servers was the unifi controller and ever since i've moved it the ap's keep showing as offline and changing to online a few mins later then back to offline (wifi is still working fine, but im unable to do firmware updates etc)

All the settings are the same and the ip address of the VM is the same only difference that its on another host.

I've had this happen before but can't remember what sorted it. So not sure if its an issue between the ap's and the controller/server or a issue with the VM.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Have you tested to see if this is a network connectivity issue? If you continuously ping the controller is anything dropped?

Just tried this and nothing is being dropped, i can also ping the AP's that are showing as offline.

Are you pinging the AP from the server? Is it a continuous ping?

I had this recently with one of unifi sites (no full list of clients, AP's showing offline or 2.4G/5G disabled. I resolved this by taking a backup of the Unifi folder (stop Unifi Controller service and zip the Ubiquiti UniFi folder). Once complete start the Unifi Controller service again. On the host server sign into Unifi, settings, Maintenance and select Compact Database. Once it's complete check your AP's again

I am using Unifi controller 5.6.42 (still have legacy AP's).
