    Adobe Reader - Installing or reinstalling the latest update (or any update for that matter) seems to resolve the problem, at least in the short term.

    Hi all Just a general warning about MS KB5005565. We have had a small number of users report that once this update is installed, Excel and Adobe Reader fail to open some files stored on network locations. Removing the update resolves the problem.

    Word of warning, some users have reported that KB5005565 can stop Excel and Adobe Reader opening certain files on network shares.
