Hi

I've been asked to setup the user agreement to appear on screen before the user can login.

I'm unsure whether its just a statement which appears on screen and the user clicks 'ok' to agree or yes/no to agree to the agreement.

Any assistance would be helpful.

Thanks

Not worth doing in my opinion. Users will just click through and not read it. It doesn’t cover you or them legally.
Hmmm.. I have to disagree. We had an incident years ago and it stood up legally.

Basically ours says "by logging into this computer you agree to our policies" and state where you can find them.

No one reads them and its like who reads the terms and conditions when installing software but it all still stands.

Just to back up the idea that it is worth doing, it really is. It also gives you opportunities to make sure that people see updated information and have easy access to it. It is *always* worth giving information in multiple places.

One thing I would suggest though is that you should use a tool that tracks who has or hasn't agreed to it. Yes, NetSupport DNA is one of a number of tools that make use of this, so if you have DNA already I would suggest people look at this function. It can be really helpful.
