Geoff Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 What's an ideal memory usage figure for FF3? All of it.
leco Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Task Manager. sorry that was a rather dumb question on my part - brain in neutral (I'm off work with a back injury at the moment) However, since I don't know how much memory Firefox2 was taking it's not much use looking at F3. But thanks anyway.
Domino Posted June 18, 2008 Author Posted June 18, 2008 I don't know about anyone else, but I was having to restart FF2 every now and again cause of memeory issues. I know its a bit early to say, but FF3 seems more responsive, and memory hasn't been an issue yet
tomscaper Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 I had to restart FF2 often as it would become very slow to run. Running FF3 with 4 tabs at moment, and the memory in task manager is 80,000 k dont know if that is good or bad as FF2 was pretty much the same but it doesnt seem to be going slow, but will give it a few days.
Guest theeldergeek Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 What are all your thought so far then? I wonder if they will make a record.. Don't they make a record with just one download? After all, no-one's ever submitted downloads as a measured attempt before now. All they will be doing is setting the precedent for others to follow, but seriously, who cares? I use Firefox no matter what!
Jobos Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 The Register has a bug report on Firefox Bugs casts shadow over Firefox 3 | The Register worth reading.
Sylv3r Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 I have it installed on my PC and MacBook and I must admit I like it better than FF2.
