hardtailstar Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 4/10, must admit never my strong point plus too reliant on auto correct these days. English isnt my strong point at all. Auto correct is very much my friend.
Ditto Posted May 13, 2021 Author Posted May 13, 2021 English isnt my strong point at all. Auto correct is very much my friend. Autocorrect would be interesting. I wonder how well Grammarly would do with these and then compare with Word.
Ditto Posted May 13, 2021 Author Posted May 13, 2021 By a happy coincidence, I was reviewing one of our programmes we run in schools. It is titled "Childrens Wellbeing Practioners". Apart from the misspelling (miss-spelling?!) of 'Practitioner' (craftily avoids using the plural), who'd like to recommend correct use of apostrophes and possibly hyphens.

Do the Wellbeing Practitioners belong to the children?
Andrew_C Posted May 14, 2021 Posted May 14, 2021 The "wellbeing" does. (My squiggly line thinks that should be hyphenated)
Ditto Posted May 14, 2021 Author Posted May 14, 2021 Do the Wellbeing Practitioners belong to the children? Nope, but they support the children.
jthompson Posted May 14, 2021 Posted May 14, 2021 Perhaps duck the issue with "Child Wellbeing Practitioners", but then that could be read as a group of practitioners of wellbeing, who are children.
