I'm looking at the cloud key but noticed this announcement https://community.ui.com/questions/Announcing-UniFis-newest-Cloud-management-offering/075cb7a8-1c45-4987-9776-616bbad8969e Looks like US only to me so far. If not can anyone give me some advice on the cloud key? We have 75 APs. I'm wondering if the cloud key can handle this many APs
aicrd Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 Have you looked at Hostifi? It's really intended for MSPs, but it's essentially the Unifi controller hosted in the cloud. They are US based as well I believe but I think you can choose which region your controller is hosted in. Might be worth a chat with them. 1

Just to resurrect this old post.. did you pick an option in the end. I looked at Hosti-fi, but it just works out the wrong pricing bracket for us.. I need about 500 devices..

My research found a lot of US based stuff but i stopped short of acquiring anything https://hubox.co/ - seems to offer the service at a charge, mentions $5 a month but says starting at, doesn’t actually show a cost or what’s included in the cost. https://www.broadbandbuyer.com/features/3831-5-reasons-to-choose-our-free-ubiquiti-hosted-cloud-controller/ - Mentions that it’s free but reading between the lines this would be if you purchase the kit through them, might be worth enquiring to see what they actually charge for a new customer with existing kit. Unifi Elite – From doing a bit of research I found talk of Unifi Elite which is Ubiquiti’s hosted cloud solution but is currently in beta and only available in the US currently. https://hostifi.com/ - Seem to offer the solution but at $49 a month, they mention 500 devices so not sure if they would offer a school a better price with less devices. https://www.cloudunifi.com/ - This company seems quite reasonably priced at $15 a month on the lowest plan for 100 devices, again might be worth enquiring about educational pricing.

HostiFi's cheapest plan is now $83.25 p/m for 250 UniFi devices (if you pay annually) or $99 per month (if you don't). localzuk Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 Honestly, I'd suggest simply getting yourself a VPS or VM in Azure, and run your own controller. It will be far cheaper. Keeping it up to date is simple enough too. 1

jr_ Posted June 28, 2022 Posted June 28, 2022 If you are hosting in the cloud you can set DHCP option 43 to "0x0104" + the HEX of the controller IP, and create an A record of 'unifi' on your dns server to the host tooThen when you plug them in they will appear for adoption in our cloud unifi controller.Also you are best running it on Debian or there is a docker container

You can get some free credit to have a play with it if that helps. Or we could host for you if you don't fancy that.
