Anyone got any recommendations of cameras? I need 27 of them!

They have to be around this spec:

  • 5 MP
  • Over 3x Zoom
  • 32 MB Internal Memory
  • SD Card Expansion
  • Internal Battery (Lithium-Ion) preferably!!!

Thanks! :D

Purchased some Sony DSC-W35s a while back

3xOptical Zoom

7.5mp

Lithium ion battery

32MB internal

and SD expansion

Think they were around £85 each (sadly no case was included)

Seem pretty decent and fit for purpose here.

We've been buying Fuji FinePix S5700's here. Very nice cameras. One, with 4 rechargable batteries, overnight charger and a 1GB memory card comes in at £96 from our suppliers.

We also have 4 Kodak Easyshare Z885's. I'd recommend them too. Very nice. We bought them a little while back now, so the prices would likely be different now. However, if you buy the dock's, battery packs etc... they are very nice to use in class as you simply slap them into the dock and they are charging.

We're planning on a bunch (5?) of Canon A560s from the Tesco catalouge. VGA movies at 30fps, 4X optical zoom, SD cards, take proper AA batteries.

With 27 identical cameras, I bet you could set up for a really good Matrix-style "bullet time" effects shot... I've always wanted to give that a try.

We recently purchased 36 Samsung NV3

Cost less than £90 with a 2Gb SD card.

Nice camera, with mp3 play back, voice recorder and text reader. Includes a charger / cable. Metal body construction.

When connected to a PC with supplied cable it acts like a USB storage device.

How about the Olympus Mju Tough 790SW. Olympus - µ[mju:] 790 SW

Just bought some of these for a school and they're pretty good. Picture quality is good, and they're pretty quick. They're water and shock proof too.

Had a few different models of Mju's over the years and generally been pretty robust...even teachers can figure out how to use them as well. ;)
