32bit or 64bit Office 2019?

When I last installed Office (2013) it was recommended to use the 32bit version even on 64bit OS. Is this still the case for Office 2019?

Microsoft are now recommending the 64 bit version of Office for general use, with some exceptions

Everything is 64bit by default these days with Office. You have to go out of your way to choose 32bit. So, I think that means MS thinks 64bit is the way to go now.

I used 64it when I updated everything this Sept - works well and no reported issues.

 

Only issue I have was that I forgot to update the shortcuts on the redirected start menus

Yes, the school use SIMS

SIMS .Net supports 64bit Office.

In the Capita technical roadmap support for office 2019 came into effect from summer 2020. Does not disclose any limitation on architecture therefore I would say x64 is support

Page 5 of the roadmap in the SIMS Workstation section it specifies that they support both 32bit and 64bit.
