Limits on business for all but Enterprise. https://workspace.google.co.uk/intl/en_uk/pricing.html I can't recall what it was for G Suite - anyone remember? This cache page suggests it was unlimited for Business when 5 or more users. Education is basically Business right?

It's the first sign of G Suite not being 'fully' free for schools - really bad timing if you look at budgets!

As far as I'm aware, the unlimited storage has not changed for schools. This is reflected on their support site. There has always been a limit that you cannot have a single file bigger than 5TB, (I was told this at Google's HQ in London) however, the total storage space is unlimited. UPDATE: Also, May Jue (Lead for the Google Certified Trainer program) confirmed on Twitter that G Suite for Education is not being rebranded to Google Workspace just yet. When it does and it becomes Google Workspace for Education, the feature list might change in the same way that it has for G Suite for Business, it's closest cousin.

I can see there has to be some limit, but I got the feeling transfer speeds/limits effectively achieved a degree of control. Otherwise, saying unlimited should say unlimited except... 1

Also I should mention - when I said I was doing Veeam backups to Google Drive I meant to G Suite Business for my personal NAS, we use proper backup solutions in production.

I had seen that Linus video and again thought he setup multiple accounts but ultimately it was a transfer speed that ultimately limited, but I accepted I could be mistaken - it was a while ago! To be honest, I can see Google would want to stop daft abuse of 'unlimited', but then it sort of means we need one of those star suffixes on the word 'Unlimited'.

Ditto Posted October 27, 2020 Posted October 27, 2020 There's a serious point here and it is well worth reporting to Google in any way possible. When I worked with IBM, for the U.S. there were stringent guidelines and laws around accessibility, especially if you were to sell to public sector organisations . I find it hard to believe these would make the grade. There are also EU directives. Even if Google are adhering to the letter of the regs, they are not achieving the spirit of them. 2
