In my household.

The Nvidia 790 GTX that Bedders very kindly sold me me a few years ago at a knockdown price has played its last game.

It’s got me through Fortnite, GTA5, Lost Planet and a few others, but didn’t make it to Rocket League which I just got today.

I don’t suppose that anyone who has recently updated their rigs may have a card of similar ilk lying around, collecting dust they they would like to get rid of, do they?

Back to my ios12 iPad and GardenScapes for now 🤣

Will be a lot of steals atm on Ebay i'd imagine with everyone upgrading to the 3080 or 3090

Quite the opposite, all still at silly prices and the mid range cards aren't exactly enticing, performance per pound wise.

If stock of the 3080 was good, the used prices of 2080/Ti would drop as there’d be far more cards going on sale - as it is, no supply and huge demand is making anything decent very expensive.

If I am being very honest, my budget is very small, which is why I was asking on here.

To be honest, don’t need anything for Triple a gaming, just something that runs the above titles at a decent frame rate, which is why I mentioned similar to the card that died.

Just trying to be very hopeful.

I would wait until AMD do their new GPU launch (not long now!) as if rumours are to belived, they will be aiming to undercut Nvidia with cards that are rumoured to be just as good (well, they would say that, wouldn't they!).

Once on sale I see a glut of 2-3 year old cards going on sale for a steal. Hang in there and wait and I suspect you'll be able to get a lot better deal than at the moment.

Failing that, FB Marketplace got me a GTX 780ti for £50 last year, it may be worth your looking in there, but I would really hang onto your cash for a little while longer. I don't think you'll be dissapointed.

CEX is also worth a look (their site, not the shop) if you are desperate.
