Is anyone off to see part 2 over the weekend? All the screenings here seemed to be very full and all the good seats taken, so I'll probably be going with my brother next week at some point.

And you are allowed to speak about it openly on here as the plot isn't exactly secret!

We had tickets to see it over the weekend but sadly we had to miss it due to childcare falling through at the last minute.

Gutted.

I also missed seeing part 1 in the cinema. Clearly, the Bene Gesserit are against me seeing these films.

How was the popcorn bucket?

Want! I have tickets booked for Thursday, and seats were filling up fast. Not a chance of getting in this weekend.

Slight tangent, I've booked for a 7pm showing of the new Ghostbusters on opening day in a 200 seat + screen and I'm the only booking.... are cinemas quiet at the moment?

When is that out? I find that many have got out of the habit of going to the cinema since lockdown, especially as there isn't the steady stream of movies people want to see to get bums back on seats. Dune II will do well, as will the new Ghostbusters, but that will fill up once Dune has done its run I think.

Ours is. We've been the only people in the screen for some movies. Just hope they are making enough money to keep going.

This is how full the 1900h showing of D2 is tomorrow so far (bigger screen would finish too late for a "school night").

The 2nd Dune film, is one of the finest pieces of cinema I've seen in a long time

It's out on Blu-ray at the end of next month (the 27th). I'll be getting the 4k version. I loved the second film far more than the first, and I held that in very high regard!
