Head needs camera, mic & speakers for video meeting, any recommendations?

The head has a desktop computer in her office and has been borrowing another teachers laptop to do video meetings. She has just asked for the equipment so she can do video meetings from her desktop.

 

I assume she will need a camera, mic and speakers.

 

Has anyone recently purchased these or have any recommendations?

We bought a load of Microsoft LifeCams that fit on the top of the monitor. They come with a microphone, so you just need some speakers.

On the downside I've noticed that prices for kit like this has gone through the roof, I guess as the demand has increased and the supply has stopped.

I normally say Logitech BCC950 - mic, good camera and speaker in one. They have doubled in price during this period though, and £300 is not what they're worth.

We had a stack of these that we use for animation and as visualizers. PC\Monitor had a speaker built in.

We've used some of these for video chats... HUE HD Pro USB document camera for Windows

 

Can also be used in the classroom as a visualizer when not being used as a webcam.

Webcams are almost impossible to get hold of at the moment, and prices are astronomical.

 

We've been forced to pay £40+ each for cheap Chinese cams off Amazon that would have cost about £15 before all this. And that's not the worst I've seen - one supplier was listing obviously low-grade Chinese units at £80 each. And still they went out of stock almost immediately.

 

Headsets are almost as bad if you don't want Gaming ones with RGB and military names!

I have a Logitech webcam with in-built mic and Logitech spekers in my office. That setup works fine for my Teams meetings.
