Hi,

After having time to investigate the slow logon speed I've found a couple of issue. The first being my domain PC policy had some weirdness not listed in the policy view which stopped edge signing in (only found this after redoing the policy from scratch which worked perfectly). The second is redirected folders.

What I've found is when I just use the home folder redirection logon time is around 15 seconds on first logon and about 5 on the following one. As soon as I enabled the Pictures, Videos and Music redirection to follow the documents folder it slows it down about about 30 seconds for each one on first logon. Its a black screen for well over a minute.

I tried redoing the default profile but it didn't help.

Anyone got any ideas? Don't fancy doing a sync at logon/logoff.

Are you blocking the creation of desktop.ini files? This causes significant delays when combined with redirected folders.

I block desktop.ini otherwise folders show as my documents, and i don't really want to have to have one folder, then another folder inside .

How are your folder structures when desktop.ini isn't blocked so it always shows the user name?

If you use Basic folder redirection and "Create a folder for each user under the root path" and disable "Grant the user exclusive rights" this stops the folders being renamed "My Documents", folders are listed as their username.
