I had to share this. This is from our excuse of a website. Just check out the sheer quality of the HTML here. I'm just going through it now and trying to clean it up. It's an uphill struggle to say the least :|

@norphy. if you're using dreamweaver there's an extension called something like "clean up front page" which should go through the site like a dose of salts. I got a copy somewhere.

@indiegirl. didn't see any it techie vacancies there. lol

I had to fight tooth and nail for over a year to get our content. And then I heard that the question was asked "why had it taken so long to get the new website launched". Grrrrr.

Yet if a teacher requests their computer needs looking at - does it take us techies or NMs a year to look at it? Nope.

@webman, but it was worth it. good looking site, easy to navigate. did you design it from scratch or use a cms, if you don't mind me asking?

@beeswax: I heavily modified a basic CSS column layout I found somewhere on the web and made it into a template for the Website Baker CMS (PHP + MySQL). It runs on IIS which is why it may appear slow. :?

I've still got our old web site backed up - happy to let you have it. May take a little work changing it to look how you want and the menu requires 'So-Think' add-on to DW but it may save you some work and possibly some brownie points.

Maybe we should have a recyled web site section?

Well, I've got it down to 126kb from more than 600kb. It doesn't look identical but its close enough and I've now had enough of it :)
