I've had a Google and I can find lots of people with a missing Meetings button and how to turn it on by turning on the options in here;

As you can see, they are turned on. I didn't have to turn them on as they already were so it isn't a "You have to wait a while after you've done it" thing. This is in my Global policy which is assigned to my users. Any ideas why I can't see the Meeting button please?

Thank you

Nevermind, apparently it's because we have on-site Exchange.
same problem here..staff mentioned they couldn't see the tab but I could. although we have onsite exchange too.. I have a 365 mailbox enabled but don't use it. I just said that even if enabled it wouldn't integrate with their outlook exchange calendar. did you find a solution/alternative for booking meetings?

Nope, just told the head we couldn't do it without migrating everyone's email to the cloud. She's pretty switched on and realises how impractical that is.

I came across this the other week. Really annoying. It basically means that we can't use Teams, should we want to, because it's dependant on users having Exchange mailboxes. We use G Suite for mail, calendaring and contacts.

We have on-prem Exchange and can use the calendar functions in Teams, with Meet Now and New Meeting both available. I believe this works through Autodiscover and only after UR3 Exchange 2016. Your autodiscover needs to point back to on-prem and fit the requirements and it should feed into Teams

You need OAuth configured between 365 and on-premise.

Thanks for the correction. I did not know that. When we had the issue, we had users in Exchange 2013. We still have 2013 but everyone is up in Exchange Online now. I should add upgrade on-prem to 2019 to the list of things to do.

We looked at upgrading from 2016 to 2019, and it just wasn't worth it, also they state you need 128GB minimum memory(up from 8!!!), and only 2019 server is supported. Also the new feature set is small. I would look to go 2016 if I was still on 2013.

I went from 2010 > 2013 > 2016

I had the choice of 2019, but 128gb is the same amount of memory as one of our VM HOSTS !

2016 seems fine , will probably go cloud eventually.

This is an older message, but I have just been struggling with this and thought I would add my experience.

We use Google for email etc, but have a need to use Teams for some meetings.

I had a few users who could see the calendar within teams, but most could not.

they all appeared to have the same settings licenses and apps enabled.

We use "Office 365 A1 for faculty"

I have discovered that opening the Outlook App within Office365 enables the calendar, and then when you go back into Teams the Calendar is now showing in the menu.

You can't actually send an email using Outlook, but opening it seems to set something up which enables the Calendar option, and you do receive emails in there about Teams meetings.
