sparkeh Posted March 5, 2020 Posted March 5, 2020 https://www.theguardian.com/media/2020/mar/05/contacts-of-1m-virgin-media-customers-left-on-unsecured-database Anyone else get their emails today? :/
Dos_Box Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 Passwords have not been compromised apparently, but changed mine nontheless.
synaesthesia Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 Groan. Glad I handed them my notice a couple of weeks ago. Will miss the decent internet speeds but I couldn't put up with the crap any more. Pulling teeth would be paradise compared to speaking to their support to find out why stuff isn't working yet again, or why my bill has gone up £10 a month yet half the channels we watch have disappeared. 1
free780 Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 Well I had 8 times before Christmas of the internet hoping down. I'm now trying to get away from VM after 13 years! How on earth do you put a dB on the public Internet anyway? Change management? Common sense?
mikeprice Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 Nothing here TBH they have been very good - very few failures. Except mobile reception which is not good but that is the fault of EE not Virgin (except that Virgin choose to use EE) now watch it all go wrong in 3 2 1
Norphy Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 (except that Virgin choose to use EE) now watch it all go wrong in 3 2 1 Probably at the end of 2021 when they switch to Vodafone https://www.virginmedia.com/corporate/media-centre/press-releases/virgin-media-and-vodafone-strike-new-mobile-deal 1
LeMarchand Posted March 7, 2020 Posted March 7, 2020 Apparently more data than Virgin are letting on. https://www.theregister.co.uk/2020/03/06/virgin_more_leak_details/ 1
