pete Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Has anyone found a (ideally Dymo-compatible) label printer cartridge that prints on the sticky side of the label (for attaching to glass)? My use case is glass-fronted cabinets. I could bodge it a few ways, but I'm hoping this already exists.
localzuk Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Use their black on clear tape, and tell your printer to print in reverse? Our Dymo Rhino 4200 allows us to reverse the text. So, you don't need to print on the sticky side. 2
3s-gtech Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 I think what you want are transparent thermal labels: https://www.zolemba.co.uk/en/white-labels-on-roll/applications/transparent-labels You'll need to mirror the output, and if you want the same on the reverse you'll need to back it with a non-transparent non-reversed print. 1
dhicks Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Has anyone found a (ideally Dymo-compatible) label printer cartridge that prints on the sticky side of the label (for attaching to glass)? We tend to use Ricoh's transparent printable plastic, in A4 sheets that go through a laser printer. As pointed out above, all you need to do is mirror the image before printing so it looks the right way round when viewed through glass. Lasts well - we use their white A4 version for laptop covers. 1
pete Posted February 18, 2020 Author Posted February 18, 2020 Gah, yeah - reversed on clear tape would work with a white backing so it stands out. cheers
