Hi All,

As our MDM is up for renewal, and as we are a using SCCM for most of our Windows management, I was keen to have a go with inTune. I asked our Microsoft Agreement reseller for pricing and was quoted £21 per device! That would be crazy money for 900+ iPads and 400+ Desktop and Laptops. Way more than we currently pay.

Is this a normal price for inTune in education, or has our reseller made a mistake? We are on an OVS-ES agreement.

Thanks.

We pay for an Enterprise Mobility licence for each FTE that covers the site for InTune.

Whether this is correct or not is down to the Licencing Gods!

We're also on OVS-ES and we pay about £400 per year. Our licensing model is based on FTEs, of which we only have about 75. I suspect your reseller has made a mistake and used the device model instead of FTE model. I can't remember the terminology, but Microsoft have changed the licensing model to move from teachers to all employed staff that deal with students directly, so that includes us support staff too, which brings the pricing up a little. Microsoft made InTune free at the end of last year. I've got 91 staff (matching FTE) and 1500 student licenses added to my account for the cost of £0 in my last licensing renewal.

....I've no idea how to use it yet mind, as soon as i read it was free it was a "i'll take that, thank you" just in case :D

Any info on that? All I can find is the same we saw last year, only the very basics are free and you still need to pay for it to be of use.

*edit* - still seems to be included in O365 A3 subscriptions which incurs a cost over and above the usual.

Sorry to bump an old thread but I'm struggling with intune licensing;

How does the SCCM benefit work? I can find no way to ues it - also I'm repeatedly being told there's no way to do it based on FTE for the full licenses from our Microsoft supplier?

Cheers
