We're looking into running a live stream of certain school events to screens elsewhere in the school. Does anyone else do this, and if so, how? We don't want to make it public, so Facebook Live, etc. isn't an option, but things like Go2Meeting, Skype, Google Hangouts etc. would be acceptable.

Money is available (within reason!) for the equipment and/or services necessary.

We've been using the free version of Trueconf for a couple years. Works quite well. We're now looking into getting a proper Google Meets setup.

Done this with VLC before as well, but it was only basic screen capture and restreaming, I'd be looking at OBS Studio for more complex scenarios with cameras, microphones etc.

3CX web-meetings could be an option, can show live streaming to anyone with the private web link. No need to download extra software just click on the web link that opens a web browser window

Now, that could work quite nicely for us because we already use their VOIP system...

YouTube, public video but only accessible to those who have the link. We have done a few like that. Records it too for saving.

We're just about to start experimenting with Google Meets. Will be purchasing some of the google meets hardware also for specific rooms.
