Hi,

I wonder if anyone can tell me how to enable the VLAN setting on a mitel 5312 ip phone . I can view the option ( disabled) but not sure how to set it to enabled. To get into the config menus I hold the arrow keys when powering on .

TIA for any help

You should not need to do any config on the phone if things are setup correctly which is not too hard to do. Have you configured voice vlan on the switch, does the switch support lldp-med?

Even at home I have set it up so I can plug a VOIP phone in with default settings and it does not need any manual config of the phone at all. I had to put some settings in on the DHCP server options on the dhcp scope, think they were tftp but might differ in your setup, at work we use option 43 for our mitel setup. Btt we still need to make sure the vlan we use for phones is enabled for voice and tagged for the voice vlan but that is all we have to do along with the DHCP options when creating new vlans used for voip.
