Theldron Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 Hi all, Just migrated to the new Adobe shared device licensing and started to create a new package and noticed Adobe Fireworks has gone.......... The subject leader for IT is going to freak out. What do you recommend as an alternative? Cheers
free780 Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 Learn something new... It looks like Fireworks is EOL.
Wubbalubbadub Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 Fireworks?! Maybe ask your IT lead to teach something from the 21st century!
3s-gtech Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 Fireworks is lush. I often use it as the go-to before firing up Photoshop.
bknaggs Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Have you any old CSx licenses you could use to just deploy Fireworks?
DrCheese Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 Did you ever find a way around this? I used to use Creative Cloud packager to enable us to still deploy Fireworks, but it now looks like it doesn't supported the "Shared device license" that the new setup uses. I've logged a call with Adobe but I'm not hopeful of a solution...
localzuk Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 We deploy Inkscape and Paint.Net for our children now, along with the default Paint 3D.
Arthur Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 Probably time to retire Fireworks, especially if you have Macs. CC 2018 and early Adobe applications will not launch on macOS Catalina since they all contain 32-bit components.
