Parentmail horrendous checklist for MOTO Card payments

Has anyone else received a massive checklist regarding card payments from Parentpay? Seems to be a compliance thing from the PCI Security Standards for when a member of staff inputs card details given over the phone.

 

I don't think we'd comply with the massive list I've just glanced at!

 

Any advice?

I saw somewhere else that they were also charging a significant amount for the first time in order to take card payments this year.

Yep. Seen this today. I don't think ANY school would comply. Its the sort of thing a multinational bank would have to comply with.

Why are you taking card details over the phone? One of the major selling points of ParentPay is that the PCI compliance burden is outsourced to them (parents do everything online using ParentPay services).

Certainly in our case, some parents don't trust them 'puters.

This, plus the "I've forgot and I'm out" or genuine PC issues at irregular times. With 1600 kids, there's always someone. But yes, now £295 a year if you can meet the requirements.

Wouldnt be advising any of our schools to go down this route, for those parents who dont have access, they're given paypoint details.
