MrMDStreet Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 (edited) I have this morning been tasked with finding a solution to a non problem. I have been asked to look into the possibility of a software based solution for reporting staff absences. Currently the Headteacher is sent a text message or called by the staff member reporting their absence. Apparently this is too much to collate as we have a large number of staff absences. I have been asked to find a software/cloudbased solution to the problem, either with a messaging system or an app based interface that staff can use that will collate the information in an easy to read setup. Anyone have any ideas? Edited July 1, 2019 by witch
eddyc Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 Our HR person records this on SIMS and the member of staff completes a Google form with more detail on there return
Bionic Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 I would also suggest using either Google Forms or Microsoft Forms. All form responses will be automatically collated in a handy spreadsheet which can be locked down using permissions.
elsiegee40 Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 I set up a Google form for this at my last school. The Bursar got an automatic email triggered by someone filling it in.
howartp Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 We use the enterprise (onsite) version of LeavePlanner.com for both sickness and annual leave. leave.southcraven.org
Mjstone1 Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 We use Google Forms as well with the Form Publisher addon which allows us to send a editable google doc version of the sickness form to the staff who need to add more details and a pdf copy to office staff who just need to know who is off. https://gsuite.google.com/marketplace/app/form_publisher/827172627657
DGardiner Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 We use google forms with some app script, after it is filled in it generates a proforma and emails it to HR and the relevant schools contacts in the mat.
