Is there another remote program I can use apart from teamviewer on my pc as it keeps saying teamviewer is being used commercially, i would like to access my work pc from home to get used to the network system and eventually do updates at night time

Setup Windows Server with RRAS - can VPN in on Port 443 if you have restrictive firewalls, then RDP into any system you wish!

Yeah - mine too - looks like that side is being discretely withdrawn.

I've gone to AnyDesk - seems to work OK and its got an Android app for my tablet too - works well

Would you really trust those remote connection apps? Anyone in those companies could connect to your computer

Thing is, I want direct access to my PC rather than having to VPN to a server and then RDP to my PC.

Can this be done easily with built-in services on a windows 10 machine? I’m not so sure

Either your PC makes a connection out, or your remote computer makes a connection in.

If you can change your firewall settings:

1. Setup firewall to enable your remote IP to connect to your internal IP, and use RDP

2. Setup firewall to enable VPN

If you can't:

3. Setup PC to connect to 3rd party, who you then connect to

4. Setup a reverse connection to your own remote computer

Main question is security, who do you trust, how good are your passwords, are you installing updates.

Limit exposure to hackers with 1) IP limits, only allow your remote IP to connect, 2) layers, RDP+VPN, 3) picking a 3rd party who've never had security issues, 4) only connecting to one remote computer that only you can access.

Just to add something else - I was recently asked to look at CloudBerry backup - which seems OK

They also do a remote access thingy along the same lines as Team viewer which seems like it pretty good

I have been using it to access my home PC from the museum where I help out - bit backwards but anyway

Before leaving work last year I had Chrome Remote Desktop connecting to my office computer from home or at work.

Could that be your solution?
