Semi Automated Document Repository For Website

This is something I've been mulling over for a while.

 

We get a bit of flack for "not always having every letter that was ever sent out via the registers ever" available to publicly download minutes after the kids are handed them.

 

We need this to be achievable with no technical knowledge and accessible to staff. My thoughts so far...

 

A sensible folder structure in a shared folder that is fixed and cannot be changed by staff into which they drop .docx or .pub files

A powershell script to convert either file type to PDF and copy to a second identical structure and delete originals run multiple times a day

A folder sync to somewhere - I'm thinking G Suite because Sharepoint Public sharing is cludgey.

it Doesn't just do scanning, It will sit and watch a folder when something arrives in there it will convert to PDF Perform OCR and then dump it in another folder

As far as I can remember it wasn't cheap but you pay by Module
