antoeknee Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Was one on the radio other day where some thought the line I'm an alien an illegal alien from Englishman in New York was I'm an alien a little alien !!
Andrew_C Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 A long time ago, a radio 1 prog broadcast a reallllllly long shaggy dog story that ended with the punch line:- "That was my cold field, carried away by a spoon-like barrow."
Inbir316 Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 absolutely brilliant...has anyone ever come across this site where you type in random words or lyrics and it will create a song using the words you have used from whatever songs it has in its archive. if anyone knows the link please post it!!
tech_guy Posted May 8, 2008 Author Posted May 8, 2008 @tech_guy I love that track. Yes me too, I was really upset when Robert died - he was only 54.
reggiep Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 In a past life I was in the RAF (Bear with me this is on topic) We were on detachment in Las Vegas and the guy who was driving the minibus to work put a tape in the stereo. I shouted something along the lines of "get that sh*t off the stereo". Somebody gave me a shove and said shut up that's some early Robert Palmer music. I cried back "Well I saw him live once and thought he was crap" it was at this point that the sergeant who had put the tape in turned round and said "Robert Palmer is my brother " I really wished the minibus had been equipped with an ejector seat as the truth dawned on me. Needless to say he saw the funny side eventually and he ended up being my line manager for a couple more years!
Joanne Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 does anyone think the new kylie song sounds like "how do you feel in my arse"?

Ryan Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 They use it on the radio, i don't see why not. We're all adults here. Physically, at least
Friez Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 I listen to a *lot* of Japanese music, it's quite incredible how many lyrics that can be misheard.
BKGarry Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Gimme Gimme Gimme, Fried Chicken!!!!!! And it defenatly says that at the end of Queen song One Vision
tech_guy Posted May 8, 2008 Author Posted May 8, 2008 sorry, didn't mean to offend with the a word!! No offence taken, just thought that the only place we could swear was in FFS! Or are all the edumods asleep? ;-)
witch Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 No, not asleep But I don't think that word is particulary bad and personally I have no problem with it as long as it is not being used as a derogatory name for someone!
Joanne Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 oh so mod stands for moderator.... DUH! I thought it was just mod... you know... mods and rockers
witch Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Hmmm....think I'd rather be an edurocker than an edumod!!
Irazmus Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 I consider myself more of an edumad. Or does that go with the job?

sparkeh Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Ace site. My favourite was a friend who really thought that Love Rollercoaster (Chillies version) went: "Reverend Gustav...of love. Reverend Gustav...of love, love love!"
tech_guy Posted May 8, 2008 Author Posted May 8, 2008 (I'm showing my age now) I was one of those who thought Sting sang, "a year has passed since I broke my nose" in Message in a Bottle. He really sings, "a year has passed since I wrote my note"..........!
