Genuine question: is 'undertaking' allowed in the US?

Because in that clip, the Tesla certainly overtook a few cars from what appeared to me to be Lane 1. Which is not impressive, unless it is considered OK in Stateside?

I believe it's legal to pass either side in the US.

I love tech and I also love driving. If I were to sit in the driver's' seat and be prepared to take over if needed then I would just drive. If I wanted to be driven, then I want to sit and chill out

This is part of the issue of where we are with automation at the moment, enough to lull us into a false sense of security but not enough to take total control, which can be very dangerous.

start about an hour in.

1. Their fleet of half a million cars can be asked to send back video for unusual situations, thus meaning they have way more data on the long tail of weird stuff than anyone else.

2. They say lidar is pointless, you need vision anyway, so why bother with lidar?

3. Self learning neural networks, unsupervised training

4. Humans driving those half a million cars are used as input to the neural networks, how do you take a corner? just like these 1000 humans have taken that same corner.

I agree. Just bought a new car and found it has a feature that prevents the car rolling back on a hill. Pretty annoying if you want my opinion as I have always been good at finding my clutch point for hill starts.

For those who aren’t aware of this feature when you hold the car on the foot brake it gives you half a second from taking your foot off the brakes to the brakes actually releasing.

Good if your crap at hill starts but crap if you are good at hill start and want to nip out of a junction quickly. Tends to Piss off the driver I have just pulled out on with a half a second lag.

Anyway automation and all that being bad this is another example. As there is no indication of this feature being active how can you trust that the car applied the anti roll back feature. Why can’t cars just be cars that you drive
