Well, let's face it - if there is a nuclear attack you might as well worry about tea as anything else, I suppose!

Nothing you worry about will make much odds under a hydrogen bomb, now will it!

It was probably concerns over maintaining civilian moral post-war. In the event of a limited war (IE not a gaping hole where the UK used to be) all water would have to be boiled, imagine drinking that with no dried leaves left to stew in it*

*Thanks to Marvin, The Paranoid Android for that thought. (except it wasn't him, it was the drinks machine) Slaps head, wanders off mumbling. Not sure if I've spelt morale right anywhere in this post....

Hey you can't be a nice cup of tea and a sit down :p

I can and when I haven't had my dried frog pills I often am. Very relaxing. Untill someone sticks the spoon in and stirs. Damn them

:p

Think about it, you'd need all those techie-types to mount a counter offensive, and as we know, no tech can live long without tea or coffee...

What on earth do you mean? It's scientificoligacally provenised that tea makes you immune to nuclear attack*

* Not necessarily true.
