pooley Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 Currently our teachers take a paper register and that is transferred into Sims. Do we need to keep the paper registers? Si
FN-GM Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 Nope. All our schools put them straight into SIMS
3s-gtech Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 Depends. Do you need to do unnecessary extra work, admin, data retention, processing, destruction and possible FOI/SAR? Being serious; no, you don’t - and you’re the second school to mention that you still do this recently. As a comparison, we moved to electronic-only 13 years ago, and we were late bloomers to some.
Edu-IT Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 No, only official registers must be maintained for a period.
pooley Posted February 20, 2019 Author Posted February 20, 2019 Thanks all, I've had conflicting advice on this. We will ditch the paper registers once they have been transferred to sims.
