JMasonHHS Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Hello, We're currently using Lightspeed Mobile Manager to manage our 96 IPads. We recently acquired an Android tablet and seem to have no way of integrating this into Lightspeed. Does anyone have a similar environment where they use both IOS and Android tablets on one MDM. Allowing restrictions and policies on both. It would also be helpful having App management for both operating systems. Cheers
DalekSec Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Currently using Mosyle for iOS/Macs this doesnt do Android etc. Android devices are on Intune and we are planning to move across iOS and Macs also.
thimon Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Went away from AirWatch and are now using Jamf Pro for all our Apple devices. Best decision ever! Amazing support from their team.
Rob_D Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 We use Intune to manage our ipads and Samsung phones. It does a reasonable job of restrictions (although the apple devices have more management options), and app install works just the same across both. Although I get the impression Intune is generally a lot less powerful than lightspeed.
Griff Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 I believe Lightspeed MDM does support Android... You need to download the Mobile Manager app and enroll it using the enrollment code. IF you have a lightspeed support login the details are here Enrolling an Android Device - Lightspeed Systems Community Site Feature Support by OS - Lightspeed Systems Community Site Give the support team a ring they have always been very helpful.
JMasonHHS Posted February 1, 2019 Author Posted February 1, 2019 Hi, We've enrolled the device through that method but you only get access to enabling and disabling the camera. There are no other policies or way of managing applications..
Griff Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Are you wanting to deploy Android apps via the MDM?
JMasonHHS Posted February 1, 2019 Author Posted February 1, 2019 It's the not being about to restrict settings that's our real problem, I understand there is an upload application option. I've come across a solution called Device Manager by comodo which appears to be free. Has anyone got any experience?
kidpressingbuttons Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Rate Mosyle very highly. Loved the free version so much we paid for it! Just seen you said android. Ignore me [emoji16] 1
Clevertouch_Rob Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Radix Viso is good for Android Management.
