They probably chose SS because for "most" people they don't automatically think 1930's / 40's German elite guard unit.

Or maybe they associated SS with the boat thing - like SS (Steam Ship) Great Britain. Or maybe they didn't associate it with anything at all - other than my names? Sorry - to clarify - you are no doubt right, some far right groups may register with it - but so may some steam liner enthusiasts! But I cant blame South Sudan choosing SS - it just means South Sudan to them.

Ahh now you mention it, I did ask them whilst wearing a pencil moustache and wrapped in a swastika flag, do you think that may have influenced their answer?
