While we still can, maybe we should consider a move to Luxembourg. Free public transport, no Brexit woes, 2 new holidays coming up and if you're into that sort of thing, no need to pop to Amsterdam soon. Not all sunshine, as they don't appear to have managed to solve homelessness (they're worried that the free trains might turn into mobile hostels).

With more redundancies/restructuring here I've never wanted to emigrate more, although I think Aussie would be my preference!

No thanks! Too many venomous creatures.

Link: Luxembourg is first country to make all public transport free [The Guardian]

Country is first to implement measure nationwide in attempt to reduce congestion

Luxembourg is to become the first country to offer a free public transport system, as the government tries to reduce particularly dense car traffic.

Some cities have taken similar partial measures but the transport ministry said it was the only time such a decision had encompassed an entire country.

Public transport will be free from Saturday in a move that will affect approximately 40% of households and save each one about €100 per year. The measure is part of a wider plan to reduce congestion...

You should do it this year or marry her.... Might get a lot more difficult once we leave the EU properly.

Its a very expensive place having been several times your wallet knows your in it! Also its a major commuter country, its like The City of London... go past 8pm its dead and weekends its a ghost town same in Luxembourg lots of people just do the 9-5 or Mon-Fri and then go back to Germany / France / Belgium and enjoy life in those places.

Having travelled (and indeed lived) in a fair few places in my life, I can safely say that there aren't many places on earth better than good old England. You would be surprised how many other people think the same outside of our little country. We are very lucky.

Luxembourg is a terrible place to live by the way, as mentioned above, people leave as soon as their work day is over to go back to "fun" countries!
