Anyone else seeing "Triumph of the Will" at that point? Or, a bit earlier, a vision of Hiroshima* with someone standing in the foreground and burned building behind?

 

 

*I can't place where I'm remembering this from - may have been Nagasaki, might have been a film...

TBH, it felt like the last half hour of LoTR Return Of The King but really stretched out.

It also jumped around a bit too much for my liking, it would not have taken more than a few mins to have Jon found by Grey Worm and imprisoned for instance.

Also, the scene where they are trying to choose the next king seemed to pop out of nowhere. Again, it wouldn't have taken long to set that up.

Still, I'm glad Tyrion came out of it all in the end. I had him pegged for one of the last deaths.

It's a movie convention that animals nuzzle/show grief over loved one's deaths. Maybe it even has some basis in reality?

Jon's not the sharpest sword on the rack. He probably told the first people he saw to arrest him for what he'd done. Presumably the first people along were Westerosi rather than The Unsullied or Dothraki. Enough people must have seen Drogon flying off Daenerys/snack in claw.

I think (IIRC someone has pointed this out already) that it may have thought the throne had killed her as it was fully of sharp stabby things like the one sticking out of her.

And Jon couldn't have possibly done it!

They just didn't do a good job of having the dragon give the iron throne a good looking over.

"There are no plans currently to put anything more in development" would seem to state that there are no sequels or spin-offs, but it will just be prequels for the foreseeable future.

 

Now, that doesn't mean that 20 years from now, they won't revisit a more grown-up Maisie Williams and see what Arya has been up to, but for now, don't get your hopes up...
