vikpaw Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 KIck in the teeth.. More strategic partnerships: We want to make sure that our content reaches our customers in the places they visit and the publications they read, so we’re partnering with providers such as the TES, THE and i25. By focusing on the online places our customers visit most frequently, we want to address the issues they face or help them get the most from our software solutions. You can see an example of this kind of content partnership in our work with TES for Reading Cloud.

supportman Posted December 19, 2018 Author Posted December 19, 2018 Meanwhile, Capita lost 500 customers last year according to the latest MIS stats.
matt40k Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 Meanwhile, Capita lost 500 customers last year according to the latest MIS stats. ooo... linky to data?
Ditto Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 Search for "bringmoredata". Check the blog for the latest info.
matt40k Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 Joshua hasn't updated that with the latest data and it shows a drop of 147, not 500. (I've found a FYI from Richard @ ScholarPack, I've just not done anything with it... yet)
peej2k Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 I mean, we all know that Capita turning up with SIMS .net and SIMS Primary still not available to use a year after launch would be utterly embarrassing for them and that is why they aren't going. But at the same time, I just can't feel it within me to go to BETT all that often. The UK would be much better served if it moved to the NEC, or they had another BETT event in May or June somewhere in the UK that wasn't the ExCeL.
CloudGeek Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 Meanwhile, Capita lost 500 customers last year according to the latest MIS stats. Beginning the end of legacy non-cloud era, long live cloud MIS!

(I've found a FYI from Richard @ ScholarPack, I've just not done anything with it... yet) Sorry, I was not clear - the consequence of replying on a mobile device in a hurry! See the twitter feed and you can then see the 500 drop figure. The Advanced Learning figures don't look too healthy either. AFAIK, it's still impossible to separate Facility and Progresso but either way, when you look over the last five years it's not a pretty picture. For Progresso, I know of a local large secondary school moving from it to SIMS. The reason, I'm told, is on forming a MAT, all the other schools were SIMS so they're falling in line. AFAIK, it's still impossible to separate Facility and Progresso but either way, when you look over the last five years it's not a pretty picture. I'm pretty certain you can tell Facility and Progresso apart now. EDIT: So you get this for Progresso: Advanced Learning Progresso 18.5.6.0 2018.1.2 ISTR that Facility has a separate value. Ditto Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 (edited) Market churn data now updated, thanks to Joshua. Bring more data: MIS MARKET MOVES 2018: three signs that market activity is increasing. Unfortunately it doesn't split Advanced Learning's products, but with a market growth of just 4 schools, but a loss of 61, it's pretty irrelevant. Lot's to discuss with the vendors at BETT - well, it would be if they were present... Edited January 4, 2019 by Ditto 2
