IPad restarting by itself

It's an IPad mini (1) and randomly, about every 5-10 minutes it will restart itself.

It will reboot with the apple logo showing.

I have checked to see if it has the latest IOS and it seems to be up-to-date.

 

Need to know if this is a hardware issue or something I can do to fix

Hardware error. Expensive coaster now unfortunately.

I'd be inclined to agree. Try a factory reset, and may be worth a new battery, but it is very old now and may just be a nice chopping board substitute.

Mine went that way. Bought an official Apple refurb to replace it
