Best toner suppliers

Hey all,

 

We recently (saying that it's last summer now... how time flies) changed all our local printers to HP402dn's. We've been buying the toner off Amazon but now would prefer to buy via Purchase order not to fill up our credit card.

 

Where do you guys bulk buy your toner from by PO's? We currently pay around £45 for a twin pack on amazing so around the same price would be ideal!

You could try Stinkyink. They were always pretty decent, and used to bring cupcakes to trade shows.

Amazon Business allows you to pay by PO. You should look in to that. It’s fab.

I just don't understand how all these toner websites cost an arm and a leg above the amazon price! We can get 2 for £46 on amazing, these sites it's £80+

Cartridge Save and IDNS are the 2 that I use (even if I'm buying official toners, rather than remakes). Similarly, I have also used Choice Stationery in the past, more for inkjet inks for a couple of special use printers we used to run.

Someone did try to explain this to me once that a lot of companies selling through Amazon are using older / out of date stock, but I'm not convinced myself. I assume you're taking into account the difference between compatible and originals.

 

We use Highgate IT, not always cheaper than Amazon but often on a par, reliable and we have a good rapport with our man there.

 

I'd love a link to the two-for-£46 toner btw, just bought a HP402dn ourselves.

They actually contacted me today and i spoke to them about toners, their quote is still £46 Ex Vat for one!

Are they all the same brand? Toner isnt just powder put in a cartridge, in a decent brand of Toner there is also some lubricant that will only become apparent 6-12 months down the line when your printers all start making funny grinding noises! If they are out of date then the lubricant may have dried out and this wont cause you issues in the short term but will in the long term.

We pay about £26 a cartridge for our HP 400 (the colour laser version), from Computer Lines UK ([email protected] - don't bother looking at the prices on the website as they're loads more than you ever actually pay).
