Katy Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 You also don't have to order online if you've got a finance system which bans that... we just email purchase orders to their sales@ address and the box arrives the next day (or for urgent things it's a 20 min drive to pick it up... maybe less of an option as you're in London)

christhetech Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 If you create an account with CPC, you can opt in to their mailing list, which will allow them to send you a catalogue through. They stopped printing them for a couple of years, but they have just published a brand new one which is a lot smaller and more concise than the old ones that they used to send out. The last of the old catalogues that we had from them was huge and cumbersome, but the new one is much easier to handle. They will send you regular targeted flyers out too, but that is not necessarily a big problem tbh. They have got a lot better recently with their mailshots and you can now opt in or out of certain mailshots. They have a little section on their website too called Bargain Corner, where all of their clearance products are listed. Some of the stuff on there is dirt cheap. Last tip for you. Always use their web enquiry form if you are looking to order in bulk. It allows you to offer a suggested price to them and they will very often move quite a bit on their pricing to secure the deal. If you low-ball too much, you aren't going to get the price that you want, but if you are sensible and make a sensible offer, there are reductions to be had. 1

It’s free through their website. It may have changed.

Waiting to hear back on prices for a bulk order, she said they bought up lots of stock from Hills. Just hoping the costs I get back are a lot cheaper; as they are selling them for about 2 and half times more than what I paid Hills.

Like many here, we're lamenting the loss of HCL and very specifically those ruddy good headphones. There's a couple of remaining people stocking them at vastly inflated prices but assume they're old stock they've got from HCL. We can't find anything even remotely close to the quality of those; did HCL actually manufacture them, or are they sourceable in the channel? I've spent so much time scouring through supply lines and even the barrel scraping that is AliExpress with no luck Combination of the braided cable (no chewing) stubby mic (no in-line mic which adds a very weak point to the cable) and the replaceable earpads made them no-brainers! 4
