MAT Digital signage system

We are looking at what digital signage systems will best suit our MAT. We want all the screens to play pretty much the same stuff but then some local changes being made possible. Ideally we would like a free solution!

Have you looked into Xibo (https://xibo.org.uk). Have never used in production myself, just had a play to see how it worked if/when we replace our current solution in the future.

Thanks Brimstone this looks great. We are quite a large MAT so would we be alright with the unlimited package or need to look at a multi site package?

No. Our MAT schools are all connected via private circuits. Much cheaper and more secure than having internet connections and filtering at each site.

 

If you don't have that you can also deliver it via HTTP/HTTPS.

have a look at Risevision https://www.risevision.com

Not in a MAT but the free plan is sufficient for us.

 

Login to all the screens using a single login.. you can then create schedules for the the different screens. I upload content to our webhost and link the content from there..

Only concern with that is that it would be publicly accessible so if we had internal videos only playing if anyone got the URL it would be externally accessible.

That is true. We only put photos/videos on the screens if we have permission to post on website/twitter.

 

They also offer hosting plans.. but they are US based..

I would contact them direct, they give you a free 30 day trail, with free of charge on site set up. It is the best.

Sorry to resurrect, but we are looking at using Trilby TV with firesticks. Did anyone have to get anything unblocked?
