Recommend a 8GB, i5 decent laptop for teachers for Office apps, Web, and videos.

Im trying to find a decent laptop about 15" with 8GB ram, most likely i5 processor for teachers to use.

Budget has to be low as they dont really want to spend any money so if possible around £500 inc VAT.

Ideally I'd like a Dell Latitude.

 

Any suggestions on best place to buy?

Dell latitude 3490 14", i5, 8gb, 128gb ssd with 3 year warranty £490 ex vat at the moment...sorry just read you want including VAT.

 

Dell Vostros may just come in at that price.

They have good pricing on the HP 250 and 255's at the moment however the 3 cell battery is horrific. If that's not an issue they are decent.

I've got a T410 that I've specced up to 8GB and put in a 120GB SSD and it's a great little machine. So much 'bang for the buck' as they are really a snip refurb these days.

 

I'd imagine the T430's are even better - very similar chassis and basic design, but the more recent generation processors.
