iMac HD Fan Speed Control

We are replacing the drives in our iMacs to SSDs.

 

Is there any free or cheep software that will work on the iMac to control the hard drive fan?

 

We have tired one that works out about £7 per mac. Just wondered if there is any better software.

There is a check box in the preference section, have you check??

All sorted now. Used the one @bald_pig and @ICTDirect_Dave and it’s been fine.

 

(Although saying that I’ve changed jobs)

Can you use this software to supplant the need to use temperature probes with swapped in SSDs?

I have swapped mine 2009 MBP with SSD, and it also show the temperature on the SSD.

Here is a screen shot of the software window.

 

the last two item are the temperature of the HDD+SSD
