Windows has known about clock changes since Windows 95 was a thing. Why change the time manually?

Some people just leave it on the wrong time - then I visit a few weeks/months later and I HAVE TO DO IT - 'COS IT HAS TO BE RIGHT

A few years ago the school got all new wireless clocks. However the office I'm in now has an older style. The time is correct half the year.

 

I honestly don't care or even look at it between my computer, desk phone and mobile.

Bought a 2014 car, so finally that's accurate (gps, and sim card), sundial you rotate the outer ring to the summertime position, easy. For some reason the microwave clock keeps terrible time so always resetting that, and oven is the only other one

Some farmers hate it. One my parents knew flatly refused to change his clocks because "it upset the cows". As a result we could never guarantee what time family members would turn up for things.

 

We never did work out why he didn't just change milking time

Apparently it is due to manufacturers using the cheapest possible clocks; instead of using a quartz crystal the clocks use the frequency of the power supply to keep time. If you have a bad or irregular power supply in your home, this could be an explanation.

Especially if you set the DC to be wrong, send them round "fixing" it on each PC, then leave it long enough to sync with the DC and revert to the wrong time and check one "This is still wrong! Do it all again!"

I have two ovens with separate clocks. So flaming annoying if the clocks don’t change time together.

 

It takes an age for me to remember how to do it and then I am using both hands to hit set then save simultaneously to try to get it right.

 

Did it, then realised I had wound it back instead of forward and had to do it again

New car. Clock on infotainment system seems to set itself - presumably via radio or smartphone Bluetooth. But clock on other part of dashboard has to be set manually. Irrritating.

 

Fleet of minibuses; clocks need setting manually but also drift so they are not correct. Setting procedure buried ever so deep in some menus, and of course different for different makes/models. So clocks are always wrong as no-one does the +/- 1 hour and no-one adjusts them. Irritating.

The only clocks that need manually changing in my house are my alarm clock and the clock on the boiler...

I couldn’t have that... I even set clocks in holiday lets because it makes me twitch when they’re wrong
