Just wondering if someone can help me get the Apple TV 4th Gen working with a StarTech HD to VGA Adapter Converter (HD2VGAE2).

The Apple TV works fine with a HDMI cable but when using the adapter I cant get anything to display. Ive tryed changing the video resolutions in Settings on the Apple TV but unfortuanly it doesnt seem to make a difference.

Not sure if there is a specific setting I'm missing?

Not all converters work with Apple TVs, they are a bit of a nightmare when you want to digital to analog. You could do it through HDMI -> DVI if that helps, I just don't think that it would work with VGA.

What side is the adapter, I've had it before when an adapter is plugged into the output (In this case the Apple TV) it won't work, but it will if you have it on the input side. So HDMI Male Cable -> HDMI female to VGA male, instead of HDMI Male to VGA female - VGA to VGA.

If that makes sense

Kanex introduced a new adaptor for the 4th Gen Apple TV...this one works..

Thanks but that's HDMI to HDMI converter I need a HDMI to VGA adapter. Also cant find UK stock of that one either.

Surely someone must have a Apple TV 4K working with a VGA adapter? I know the older generations work but its the 4 gen one which is the problem.
