  1. I would check over the GPO settings. Ours all well under 1MB in size when syncing to there Home Folders. I moved to syncing to the O365 accounts now so they can sync everything else like passwords etc.
  2. Sorry should have mentioned for me it shows up a warning triangle because it wants you to setup OneDrive.
  3. Did you manage to find a solution to this in the end?
  4. Thanks, I'm glad to hear it is possible without any down time. All the schools currently have Azure AD Sync on each of there domain controllers and Hybrid AD setup too.
  5. I'm looking at doing the same, how did you migrate all the schools into one? Did you use any migration software for mailboxes, SharePoint data etc? What worries me is any downtime for the users.
  6. No worries, thanks for the link. We already have SSO setup so sounds like its just the Edge GPOs that need setting up correctly. I will do some testing
  7. Would you mind sharing the GPO settings you use for this so there logged in automatically? I'm just roaming favourites to users home folder like below which works fine but would prefer the benefits of syncing there favourites, passwords, etc to the O365 cloud. Set the roaming profile directory = ${documents}\Microsoft Edge Enable using roaming copies for Microsoft Edge profile data = Enabled
  8. Apologies if this has been posted already but with Edge 85 and the latest ADMX files you can now sync favourites/bookmarks like you can in Chrome. I have only tested favourites/bookmarks being saved in the users Documents Home Folder so far. Not tested password syncs yet but I don't see why they won’t work now there's a profile.pb file. Seems to not mind the same user logged into different computers using Edge at the same time. The two setting I applied in the GPOs are as follows: Set the roaming profile directory = ${documents}\Microsoft Edge Enable using roaming copies for Microsoft Edge profile data = Enabled Hope this helps as this is one of the features I've been waiting for since the release of the Chromium based version of Edge.

  9. Had a response from Promethean so will keep our fingers crossed. "This should be fixed in the next March/April release of 2.19, though I cannot guarantee it, it's something we're hoping to solve."
  10. Just to give people the heads up the new ADMX files for build 80 now have Hide the First-run experience and splash screen Hopefully a favorites sync one will be out in a later build.
  11. Thanks for the update. The latest version as of today is - 2.18.68238 Fingers crossed they will resolve this soon.
  12. Got this issue also DaveAshworth Any updates one when this will be resolved by Promethean?
  13. Any luck with this as the GPO setting above doesn't work? Since rebuilding to 1909 Windows Defender shows up a warning triangle because it wants you to setup OneDrive.
  14. According to the change log for Dev branch build 81.0.389.2 its been added so will have to wait for the newer Stable build and ADMX to be updated - Added a management policy to prevent the first run experience from running. Show stopper for me is favourites not syncing with the redirected favourites folder as the new Edge GPOs don't seem to have a setting like the Legacy Edge version - Keep favourites in sync between Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge Not a show stopper but Edge creating a desktop shortcut like Chrome does is a bit annoying for my OCD.
  15. SCCM now has the Stable release so should be everywhere else shortly
  16. Only done limited testing so far but hoping favourites will sync with the redirected Favourites Home Folder. The new Edge GPOs don't seem to have a setting like the Legacy Edge version - Keep favourites in sync between Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge
  17. IIRC SuperFetch was depreciated in Windows 10 1903
  18. Just an update, everything went relatively smoothly. Things to note are below: RM Unify AD Sync Config Tool - Needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled to pick up new domain name Azure AD Connect - Needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled to pick up new domain name Volume Activation - Need to remove and re-add the product keys RDP Server - Removed and re-added RDP Role to pick up new domain name Thanks again for everyones help
  19. Can someone confirm what commands I would need to run on the other domain controllers or will they just need a restart to pick up the new domain?
  20. Ah I see what you mean. A domain name change would definitely be more simple (apart from the Azure AD Sync bit which is a bit unknown at the moment).
  21. Roughly 350 staff/pupil users and about 80 computers/laptops RID if ive read it correctly from the dcdiag command - rIDAllocationPool is 6103 to 6602
  22. Thanks for the heads up as I wouldn't want staff to loose access to there emails. I will open a call with Microsoft and see what they say about it as hopefully there will be a way. As far as I know the local domain name has been the same ever since the network was setup years ago (2003 server originally but all on 2016 now). Looks like it will break AD Sync - https://serverfault.com/questions/808801/what-impact-would-a-domain-rename-have-on-azure-ad-sync Staff don't login to there email accounts with the local domain name there is a separate domain name that they use to login to email so not sure if that will make a difference - [email protected]
  23. I will be doing this soon, what about other servers ie file server, rdp, etc (all 2016 servers). Do you just need to reboot them twice like you do with the workstations so they connect to the new domain name before running the final command? - rendom /clean Also I have Azure AD Sync and RM Unify Sync on the domain controller so will I need to just update the information in each of the software settings after the change? Regarding GPO MSI deployment as above just to confirm before starting the process I can just remove the GPOs then recreate them once the change has been completed? Thanks in advance
  24. That is a good solution, I wonder if I could then change the name and IP back to the originals after or even rename the currant DCs and then create the new ones with the correct names?
  25. I could give it a temp name if needed as I have changed DC names in the past with no issue. Just not sure if changing it back to a name it used to be might cause issues?
