3rd party server warranties

Looking for a good 3rd party warranty provider for our server - any recommendations?

I've been looking recently and got quotes from companies mentioned in previous threads on here. The stand out in terms of price and responsiveness has been http://www.upgrade.co.uk

 

I haven't had cause to use them yet.... but get a good impression. To give you an idea, the quote for a 4 hour on-site response 24 hours/365 days on a 7 year old server is well under what we've been paying Dell for NBD since year 3. They're Dell and HP partners (amongst others) and assure me they hold parts in stock even for servers up to 10 years old.

 

Of course the proof only comes when something breaks and I'm hoping not to find out....

We use the 3rd party warranty option for one of our Dell servers which is provided by upgrade options, we have used it a couple of times for replacement hard disks.

The replacements are dispatched next day and with little or no fuss. For the cost of the years cover compared to the cost of the disks and sourcing them its good value.

I've used PDQ Computers in the past, they've replaced everything from hard drives to RAID controllers to motherboards in servers and in storage arrays for me in the past. They even repaired an old Apple X storage array once.

We use Upgrade Options are the seller of the support contract but it is forefilled by

NCE Computer Group by the looks of the people who i communicate with

Our Datacentre team use a firm called Park Place for them they do the UK despite being US centric, also CDW (used to be Kelway in the UK) do 3rd party extended support options.
