2ilent8cho Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 Not another one, i have to have Cream Soda that is made in Hong Kong as almost all the ones in supermarket are low sugar artificial sweetener crap that taste as vile as diet coke. We have more low sugar, low fat diet crap on our shelves than ever before and people are more over weight than ever. These things are the cause, they don't satisfy you , and if you are not satisfied you will crave and crave and then binge. I use to last decade drink and eat all this vile stuff and yo yo diet, slimming world, weight watchers, low carb, gi diet. I ended up 18 stone! I then 2013 chucked it all out and only have full sugar and full fat products and don't calorie count and enjoy food now, i got down to 12 stone by the end of 2013 and i am still in the 12 stones. Them doing this to products fills me with rage, its not the solution.

Thankfully that too has been dead since 2012. They used to dish it out with glee on Virgin Trains when you just wanted a 'nice' soft dink. 1

mikes Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 (edited) used to love lime and orange tic tacs, would eat 4 boxes a day. then they changed the recipe and now the stuff tastes much more bland; also if I eat more than 2 boxes of the stuff now it will make me mass produce bile (honestly, poop will be green with bile and I even threw up thick green bile; happened 3 times each coinciding with eating 4 boxes of them in a day) - are they trying to make these things more healthy, yet failing miserably with all these new untested chemicals? i like how they advertise Coke Zero as the "same great taste" - it is not the same taste at all; all these artificially sweetened drinks have the same nasty chemical taste to them. I know too much sugar is bad for you, but I am a grown adult, I can take care of myself; I know how to keep to a healthy weight, it's not difficult. Edited January 6, 2018 by mikes

I can't remember if it was virgin cola or another alternative but it used to give my friend diarrhoea. Apparently Coke is good for cleaning toilets!

Aldi’s diet cola offering does that to me for some reason, think it’s brand is FreewAy, I also like Classic Cola and RC here which was at the same time of virgin cola
AMLinington Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 I'm a weirdo - I actually prefer the 'diet' flavours of certain fizzy drinks - Diet Coke, Diet Cherry Coke (I LOVE this but HATE 'Fat' Cherry Coke) and Diet Irn Bru. But having recently begun suffering with episodes of acute pain due to chronic gastritis, I have discovered I can no longer drink carbonated drinks without ending up in intense pain. So I've been drinking the Suger-Free Volvic flavoured waters instead.... The Chinese supermarket across the road from work sells the most delicious fruit juice drinks - Lychee or Peach with cubes of Nata de Coco in them but they not sugar-free so they are an occasional treat. I have also found that since we bought a fridge with a water dispenser I've drunk more chilled water (we fill it with mineral water to avoid Algae and nasty pink limescale from the horrible water that comes out of our tap) than ever before.

To be fair though - I normally add something like Rum, Red Stag or Amaretto as they alter the cola enough to be drinkable I do a similar thing. Often it takes quite an amount of 'experimentation' to get it just right.

Quick tip for those that like Red Stag and Coke, it tasted the exact same as JD and Cherry coke, I also enjoy Stag straight but can't drink Jack straight.. Unless it's warm Apple Winter Jack, that is just amazing.
