FlowerManDan Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Have had a good offer on one of these recently for a school I support, anyone else using these at the moment? Are they any good?
FN-GM Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Got a primary school full of them and will have 9 more installed this week. They have been great. The only thing is the freeze button isn't obvious. You have to press blue (I think) in order to do it, but staff get used to it.
dapaulio Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Not this specific model but have a number iiyama models around the site. I’m impressed with them all and have become my preferred monitor to buy atm
FlowerManDan Posted December 18, 2017 Author Posted December 18, 2017 How long have you had them for? I've noticed they've got a 5 year warranty so they must be pretty reliable?
FN-GM Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 How long have you had them for? I've noticed they've got a 5 year warranty so they must be pretty reliable? Just over 12 months. Never skipped a beat!
dapaulio Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Probably been buying them for up to 2 years now maybe. As fn-gm comments never skipped a beat. I have 3 on my desk. One being a 24”touch. My only complaint having to remind other people I support not to touch my screen. I sound very possessive over them [emoji23]
DavR Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 We had eight of this model installed in the summer, and I'm just looking for four more in the new year. Can't complain at all, they're fabulous for the price. No frills, just does the job. There is an inbuilt android PC that runs notebook applications, but not everyone has been using them. We had one duff one on delivery, but they sent two guys out to deinstall / reinstall before start of term. We also had a free demo / training session from one of their reps which was very helpful (and answered the question of where the freeze button was) so service has been good. There has been a promotion on recently that's been putting them out for about £1300-400 a piece I think, so that's why the prices have been so good. I believe that ended on Friday, but canny suppliers will have stocked up.
synaesthesia Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Quite a few offers on that model, seeing 1300 to 1400 off the shelf including at PC World Business.
