I've gone through and compared settings and I would say I have 95% of the same settings configured.

 

The biggest difference I found is where alfatec has all settings for Office, Chrome etc within that one GPO I have mine separated out, so a GPO of Office, a GPO for Chrome etc.

 

Is there any speed difference in processing GPOs in terms of process 1 larger GPO compared to several smallers GPOs?

 

If you change anything in that one large gpo, it will reapply everything related to that GPO.

 

I use separate GPOs too, things i know i will not touch can sit in one large one.

I'm starting to look at Windows 10 Education 1803 with a view to a summer deployment (for some departments at least). Any pointers / gpo examples would be gratefully received.

Will be using SCCM 2012 to deploy the base image and hope to have Office 365 for staff/students alongside Office 2016 for staff/external communication.

My first recommendation would be to upgrade your SCCM to the current branch. You will have a lot less trouble.

What version of Windows 10 is everyone running currently, I am still using 1803 which seems fine and 1809 seems rather too risking with the various issues it has.
