Hehe, I refrained from entering an application for our church community scheme currently being fundraised because I chickened out of asking people on here to vote for it and I couldn't see any other way of us getting the votes needed.

With our next step we want to support Swindonians to overcome two of the biggest health problems in our community – overweight and obesity. We want to start free healthy cooking courses on a regular basis in the community centre. Our goal is to show people that healthy food can be prepared fast, be cheaper and taste better. Certainly an admirable goal.

Awww you should have entered anyway! I do think it is incredibly sad that so many organisations are having to do things like this to get funding... 2

howartp Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 I do think it is incredibly sad that so many organisations are having to do things like this to get funding... We’re fortunate to have been accepted by Co-Op to receive their community funding - looking like £1600 this year plus we’re waiting to hear if accepted for next year. £1600 down, £423,400 to go... (ish!)
