kingswood Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 It's looking very nice in places- though is it just me or does the Explorer window look too "cluttered"? I mean, I love the depth that I can go to using something like Konqueror in KDE as a file browser, but Windows Explorer has traditionally been a little less functional than other file system browsing mechanism--I wonder how long term Windows users will fare with the detail that seems to be there now? Its being held in Bradford - http://www.blackmarble.co.uk/Events/May2006.aspx Its free, so I am off to that, may pickup something useful, and its only 1/2 day and its free and has a bunfight as well, so what can you loose!

indiegirl Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Is it me, or does the new start menu (or whatever it's been renamed to these days) have the icon / font look of anything KDE based? If anything, my theory (if I'm right about the above) is that it'll make Linux much more approachable to novice users as a result..

john Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Did you say it was free? I think we will find that they push there solutions at us as well as the info we possibly want, but its just the usual be pollite, and yes send me the info, then you can recycle it when you are back in the office
